The Hotels we use in Lanjaron
Peace, colour, tranquillity, all find their expression in hotels full of charm and good taste. In atmosphere of tranquillity, relaxation and restfulness these hotels are ideal for those people looking to enjoy the natural environment. WiFi throughout.
Good Value Traditional hotels - We use traditional and friendly hotels such as the Hotel Manolette, Hotel Lanjaron and the Hotel España where the famous poet Garcia Lorca used to stay. They're clean, comfortable, centrally placed and good value for money.
A Taste of luxury - We also offer stays in the Hotel Alcadima which gives you a little taste of luxury. Hotel Alcadima is a family run hotel set in beautiful surroundings, with views of the Moorish Castle dating back to the XIV century. It is a haven of peace and tranquility that recalls a typical white Andalusian village, and boasts one of the best restaurants in Lanjaron. Complete with a swimming pool, it's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day on the hills.

Country Villas - Casa del Bienestar
Our house sits above the Spa town of Lanjaron in the Alpujarra Mountains of Spain.
The house consists of two levels : the upper area is our home where we reside with our two Spanish rescue dogs, Hollie and Jerry. The lower part is our newly refurbished apartment which is available for rental on short and longer term basis.
If you are coming as a larger group, there is also the possibility of guests staying with us in the main house where we have a further 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people.
We are around 4km from the centre of town. The road consists of mainly tarmac and some track. It can be narrow at times. We would recommend the use of a car to access the property.

Our house sits above the Spa town of Lanjaron in the Alpujarra Mountains of Spain. The house consists of two levels : the upper area is our home where we reside with our two Spanish rescue dogs, Hollie and Jerry. The lower part is our newly refurbished apartment which is available for rental on short and longer term basis. The apartment has a fully fitted brand new Bosch kitchen, so you can be fully self sufficient.
There are 2 bedrooms - both can be configured for twin or super king. Sleeping 4 guests comfortably. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. if you would like to add extra guests - this is open plan, so not much privacy. The bathroom is shared and has a modern shower. Bedding, towels (pool, hand and bath) , hairdryer and basic toiletries (shampoo and shower gel) are provided.
If you are coming as a larger group, there is also the possibility of guests staying with us in the main house where we have a further 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people.
Nature and surroundings
We are in a very peaceful area, with only a few neighbours. The road to the accomodation is steep and narrow in parts. some is cement, some dirt track. We are around 4km (15-20 minute drive) from the centre of Lanjaron. Easy access to many walking and hiking trails. Or mountain biking for the fit and adventurous. The water comes from a local Spring and is said to have many beneficial healing properties. It is untreated to preserve the natural goodness. If you would prefer, we can also go into the local town to get water for you which has been treated or you can buy bottled.
The perfect place for an active & sustainable getaway
I stayed 4 nights with Sharon and Bongo at Casa del Bienestar on a 3-day horseback riding-trekking organized by Caballo Blanco. Sharon and Bongo are such good hearted people and with their 2 lovely dogs, they were the perfect hosts. They made me feel right at home. Their house is beautiful and authentic, with all comfort provided. Everything was clean and tidy. The shower is great, very important if you are having an active holiday. I would recommend to get their food services, just delicious! As a bonus, they use their own olive oil and bake their own bread. Even the soap in the bathroom is organic. The perfect place for an active and sustainable getaway. The surroundings have so much to offer so if you have the chance to stay multiple nights, I can only recommend it. I will repeat for sure!
