This beautiful butterfly rests on the branches at dusk and makes for a perfect photo opportunity against the fading light.

Latin name: Plebejus argus subsp hypochiona

Distribution is throughout the whole of Spain. You can see in the Sierra Nevada during the months of June, July and August.

Habitat: Prefers grassland or forest edge. The caterpillar feeds on clover, gorse, Bladdemut or strawberries.

Altitude: up to 3,500 meters
